About The Position
The Accounts Receivable Associate plays a crucial role within the Finance & Accounting team at Southern Exteriors, a prominent company specializing in new home construction and remodeling services. This position is essential for ensuring that the company receives timely payments for the services rendered. The associate will be responsible for recording payment transactions accurately, tracking the aging of invoices, and maintaining communication with business customers regarding their payment status. This role also involves resolving discrepancies that may arise and assisting with billing processes as needed. In this position, the Accounts Receivable Associate will monitor invoice aging and manage customer accounts, proactively following up with customers who have outstanding payments. Collaboration with the Sales and Operations teams is vital to maintain excellent customer relations, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly and effectively. The associate will prepare, verify, and post payments to the company's financial systems, which include QuickBooks and Accumatica. Additionally, maintaining and updating customer records is a key responsibility, which includes managing changes to customer information such as names, billing addresses, and personnel changes. The role also requires drafting correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, creating reports, and assisting in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger. Furthermore, the associate will play a part in the reconciliation of revenue accounts each month, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
