Location: Erickson Senior Living, headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, is a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states—and growing. Erickson Senior Living is expanding our Accounts Receivable (A/R) team due to significant growth. The Accounts Receivable (A/R) Associate directly impacts our business to ensure accurate billing for resident healthcare services. As an Accounts Receivable Associate, you will prepare accurate pre-billing reviews, billing, follow-up, and cash posting of charges for an assigned business line. You will provide exceptional customer service in partnership with our A/R Help Desk team. Additionally, you will conduct admissions and census reviews to ensure the correct and timely setup of resident accounts. Completing third-party payment follow-up and reconciliation will also be part of your responsibilities. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our organization and ensuring that our residents receive the best possible service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate pre-billing review, billing, follow-up, and cash posting of charges for an assigned business line.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in partnership with our A/R Help Desk team.
  • Conduct admissions and census review to ensure correct and timely setup of resident accounts.
  • Complete third-party payment follow-up and reconciliation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 2 years healthcare accounts receivable experience in billing, collections, cash posting, or other healthcare revenue cycle-related experience.
  • Graduation from an accredited 2-year college with coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Finance/Administration or related field of study is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Vision or other medical practice management systems is required.
  • Current Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS-I) from the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) preferred.
