About the position

The Accounts Receivable Associate will support the AR Manager in managing and collecting accounts receivables for two divisions of Redwood Toxicology Laboratory. This role involves daily communication with customers to collect outstanding invoices, resolving payment issues, and performing various accounting tasks to ensure timely billing and collections.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers for the collection of outstanding invoices on a daily basis.
• Send written communication via fax, e-mail, etc. to resolve outstanding or disputed invoices.
• Research payment issues involving disputed deliveries, returns, and credits that may result in delinquent balances.
• Resolve issues quickly to prevent further aging of delinquent balances.
• Perform monthly billing process and send accounts to Letter Series for both divisions.
• Perform customer master maintenance in the areas of billing information.
• Perform credit card processing on a daily basis.
• Enter cash receipts through the bank deposit for both divisions on a daily basis.
• Provide backup support in various areas to the Accounting Manager.
• Perform adjustments to accounts on a weekly basis.
• Batch and process invoices for the Biotech division on a daily basis.
• Document collection efforts and status of accounts.
• Complete specific account analysis and month-end procedures, including statements, aging, and ad-hoc reports.

Requirements

• Proficient in accounting computer software and basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must know the 10 key by touch and the computer keyboard by touch.
• AA Accounting Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years' experience in AR and collections with a company that has annual revenue of at least $10 million.
