About the position

The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for providing financial and administrative services to ensure efficient and accurate accounting operations within the agency. This role involves processing customer accounts, managing billing inquiries, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile customer accounts and contact customers for collection measures.
• Handle telephone calls from insured clients to resolve billing or financing issues.
• Process collections of aged accounts receivable, including working with collection agencies.
• Review past due notices and direct billed policies from insurance companies.
• Process intents, notice of cancellations, reinstatements, and cancellation requests.
• Monitor the financing process for premium financed loans throughout their lifecycle.
• Process monthly customer statements and credit checks.
• Act as an alternate in processing deposits or EFTs and commission statements when needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of accounting and/or bookkeeping skills preferred.
• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office and agency management systems (preferably AMS360).
• Strong typing skills and ability to use a 10-key calculator.
• Excellent communication, listening, and writing skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

• Some college education preferred.
• Experience in customer service and dynamic team environments.
