About the position

The Accounts Receivable Associate at Kelley Kronenberg is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across various business units within the firm. This role involves proactive collection and administration of the firm's accounts receivable, ensuring quality customer service while minimizing credit risk. The position requires daily communication with clients, monitoring of high-risk accounts, and preparation of financial reports for review by attorneys and management.

Responsibilities

  • Daily communication with clients to obtain payment statuses to manage receivables effectively.
  • Establish and monitor client payment arrangements for accounts with past due balances in consultation with billing partners.
  • Monitor high-risk accounts and keep the Director of Accounts Receivable and billing attorney updated on account activity weekly.
  • Prepare accounting and receivable reports for clients and attorneys upon request.
  • Summarize account activity and financial statistics in the narrative field of the system for review and reporting to the managing partner and executive administrator.
  • Collect all items due to Kelley Kronenberg.
  • Process notification letters and pre-audits.
  • Apply write-offs where applicable.
  • Work and research payment shortages.
  • Collaborate with Senior A/P and Trust Accounting Associate for the application of available trust funds.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, preferably at a law firm.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Resourceful problem solver.
  • Collaborative team player and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work well in high-pressure situations.
  • Detailed and accurate work ethic.
  • Ability to take direction and work with little supervision.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited school or university in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is preferable.
