About the position

The Accounts Receivable Associate plays a crucial role in managing daily accounts receivable postings for various retail and commercial customers. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for credit and collections functions, ensuring that customer payments are processed accurately and timely, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. This is a non-supervisory role focused on supporting the financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Review customer orders for credit approval.
• Clear payments with invoices on customer accounts daily (post checks, process credit cards, ACH funding, & 3rd party financing).
• Perform collection calls to customers while keeping AR balances open and current.
• Assist in resolving credit card disputes.
• Provide required sales and payment clearing reports to the sales team and customers.
• Provide Account Receivable AR Aging reports to the Accounting Manager and Controller.
• Establish and work to accomplish all personal and departmental KPIs.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum High School degree or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area highly preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable with credit and collections.
• Experience with SAP & POS software is preferred.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and intermediate to advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Adherence to all work process deadlines.

Nice-to-haves
