About the position

The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for managing and resolving delinquent accounts, ensuring effective collection efforts, and maintaining positive customer relationships. This role involves analyzing financial data, negotiating payment plans, and collaborating with various teams to support the company's credit and collections objectives. The position requires a flexible schedule and is initially a contract role with the potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and identify delinquent status of assigned accounts.
  • Determine seriousness, priority, and amount of delinquencies; investigate causes and identify corrective actions.
  • Contact account management representatives to update them on negotiations and solicit their involvement.
  • Review statements, invoices, and reports to assess financial stability and payment history of customers.
  • Analyze financial and credit information to determine acceptable credit limits and selling restrictions.
  • Negotiate payment plans with customers and advise them on their obligations and options.
  • Establish and recommend financial direction and create strategies for payment processes.
  • Manage customer requests for invoices, proof of deliveries, and statements.
  • Resolve customer disputes in collaboration with the Accounts Receivable billing team and internal management.
  • Prepare communications related to refunds, e-statements, and account reconciliations.
  • Support company initiatives and comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain positive communication and collaboration with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Monitor the success of services provided and ensure excellent customer experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, especially with pivots and v-lookups.
  • Strong data analytics skills and ability to understand financial data.
  • Flexible mindset and quality-oriented approach to work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data analysis tools or software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable.
