About the position

The Accounts Receivable/Billing Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the billing processes for a mid-sized construction company. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate invoicing, payment processing, and maintaining financial records, while also providing excellent customer service to address any billing inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, AIA billing, change orders, and collections.
• Deposit checks and prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Review A/R Aging weekly and provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to billing or payment issues.
• Monitor, track, and investigate billing errors, issue credits, memos, adjustments, and correct issues.
• Maintain organized records of invoices, payment receipts, and correspondence with clients.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles.
• AIA billing processes REQUIRED!
• Proficient in accounting software, Sage 100 and Microsoft Excel.
• Weekly aging review and collections efforts.
• Reconciliation of statements/invoices.
• Understanding of corporate accounting principles and practices.
