About the position

The Accounts Receivable/Cash Management Specialist is responsible for managing financial tasks related to accounts receivables and cash management. This role involves overseeing cash applications, credit processing, collections, and preparing cash flow forecasts. The specialist will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with financial policies and maintain client relationships for timely payment collections.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily cash applications, credit processing, and collections activities.
  • Regularly update accounts receivable ledger and ensure that all payments are accounted for and posted accurately.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts and report on any significant discrepancies.
  • Assist in improving processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies.
  • Maintain relations with clients and customers to ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Resolve client discrepancies and short payments.
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and maintain statements.
  • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, and other financial transactions.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Participate in financial audits and cooperate with internal and external auditing procedures.
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports on accounts receivable and cash position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable and Cash Management roles, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with relevant ERP and accounting software.
  • Epicor experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of personnel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and results driven.
