About the position

Smyyth LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Chargeback Analyst to join our team in South Plainfield, NJ. This position is crucial for managing and resolving retailer deductions and compliance fines, ensuring that our accounts receivable processes are efficient and effective. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills and have familiarity with various ERP systems, including SAP, JDE, PeopleSoft, or Oracle, as well as retailer web portals. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders and resolve disputes related to chargebacks and deductions. As an Accounts Receivable/Chargeback Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing large volumes of data related to retailer deductions, identifying discrepancies, and working towards resolution. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance with retailer agreements and to minimize financial losses due to chargebacks. This position offers flexibility, with options for both full-time and part-time schedules, and is located in our Middlesex County office. The salary for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $17 to $25 per hour, with expected hours between 25 to 40 per week.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and resolve retailer deductions and compliance fines.
  • Utilize Excel and ERP systems to manage accounts receivable processes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding chargebacks.
  • Identify discrepancies in retailer deductions and work towards resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with retailer agreements to minimize financial losses.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in accounting (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience using Microsoft Excel (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, PeopleSoft, or Oracle.
