About the position

The Accounts Receivable Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the Accounting Department by handling various accounting-related functions such as pricing, tax reporting, and managing accounts receivable and payable. This position is essential for ensuring the accuracy of financial records and facilitating smooth financial operations within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Updating and maintaining various accounting sub-ledgers, journals, and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).
  • Entering data into VIP accounting system using defined computer programs.
  • Compiling data and preparing a variety of reports including tax filing.
  • Reconciling records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
  • Recommending actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Resolving various issues that may arise.

Requirements

  • Accounting education, experience or training is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
