About the position

The Accounts Receivable Clerk at Sutton Trucking is responsible for managing financial transactions related to customer payments. This role involves preparing invoices, recording payments, and ensuring accurate integration with accounting software. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices and billing statements for customers
• Record customer payments and apply payments correctly in QuickBooks
• Daily operation of dispatch software and integration with QuickBooks Accounting software
• Organize and work with driver daily paperwork/prepare reports for use in drivers' payroll
• Maintain railcar activity and release to rail spur

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 to 3 years previous experience in accounting
• Knowledge of QuickBooks
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through ability
• Ability to work in a high flow fast-paced environment and multitask

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
