About the position

Randstad, in partnership with a premier beverage distributor, is seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This position is crucial in ensuring that accounts receivables are kept current and accurate. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of efficiently managing various accounting tasks. Responsibilities include posting and depositing miscellaneous check payments, entering Fintech invoices for next-day payment, and assisting with driver check-in route processing. The role requires flexibility to cover essential tasks during coworker vacations and to perform other related duties and special projects as needed. The A/R Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all transactions and ensuring that payments are processed in a timely manner. This position plays a vital role in the financial health of the organization by ensuring that all accounts receivable activities are conducted efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will work closely with other team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure that all financial records are up to date. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Post & deposit miscellaneous check payments (Will Calls, DWS, Warehouses etc).
  • Enter Fintech invoices in EDI for next day payment.
  • Assist with Driver Check-In Route processing (10 - 15 routes per day): verify proof of delivery, payments, work with warehouse to resolve product credit discrepancies, and work with driver Supervisors to resolve driver under collects.
  • Back up to cover the below tasks during coworker vacations: Post check payments received in the mail (On Deposit accounts).
  • Post Military EFT Payments.
  • Will Calls: entering, verification, filing and other related tasks.
  • Perform additional work-related duties and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of accounts receivable processes.
  • Familiarity with aging receivables and purchase orders.
  • Experience with cash applications and basic computer skills.
