About the position

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. This role provides a short-term contract employment opportunity in the oil and energy industry. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for executing various tasks related to customer billing, data analysis, and month-end closing procedures. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate and efficient handling of customer billing procedures, maintaining and updating customer records, and utilizing analytical skills to resolve customer inquiries and discrepancies. You will also assist with month-end close procedures to ensure timely completion and monitor customer accounts, taking necessary actions based on account status. Collaboration with the team is essential to ensure smooth operations and meet deadlines, while continually improving processes and procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency. Adaptability to new systems and software as required by the job function is also a key aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Handle customer billing procedures in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Maintain and update customer records regularly to ensure accuracy
  • Use analytical skills to resolve customer inquiries and discrepancies
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and refresh tables for data analysis
  • Assist with month end close procedures to ensure timely completion
  • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and meet deadlines
  • Continually improve processes and procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Adapt to new systems and software as required by the job function

Requirements

  • Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable operations
  • Solid experience with Billing processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
  • Strong Analytical Skills are required
  • Experience with Month End Close procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems
  • Bachelor's degree; Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
  • Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulations
