About the position

The Accounts Receivable Clerk at KIA of Carson is responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable and payable processes. This role involves processing collections, vendor payments, and maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting procedures. The position requires strong communication skills and attention to detail, as well as experience in an automotive dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Process all collections on outstanding accounts receivable.
• Assist the Office Manager with various tasks.
• File and scan documents as needed.
• Work on special office projects as assigned.
• Handle daily deposits from all stores.
• Process payments for outside vendors using platforms like PayPal and My Kaarma.
• Manage and pay all accounts payable for the company.
• Maintain all payable files and records.
• Perform data entry and balance applicable schedules.
• Open new accounts as necessary.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in accounting or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices.
• Professional and discreet attitude and appearance.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Automotive dealership experience.
• Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds or equivalent accounting software.
• 2 years of accounting experience (preferred).
• 2 years of accounts receivable experience (preferred).
