About the position

Large CT-based Community Association Management company seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk based out of our Vernon, CT location. This role will support our Accounting Department at large. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be responsible for responding to phone calls and emails from Unit Owners regarding account balances and association policies surrounding late payments. Additionally, the clerk will assist Unit Owners with establishing online payments through their web portals and process balance and data transfers when Unit Owners sell their home, ensuring that all areas of the database are updated accordingly. The position also involves assisting the Collections Specialist with delinquency processing and monitoring collection efforts. The clerk will send statements and coupon booklets to customers on a cyclical basis (monthly, quarterly, or annually) and deposit checks received in the office daily via bank remote deposit capture. Miscellaneous support for the Accounting Department will also be required, including assistance with seasonal projects and coverage for staff absences. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of the community associations we manage and ensuring that Unit Owners have a positive experience with our services.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in accounting or bookkeeping preferred.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to quickly master industry and role specific software.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
