About the position

This part-time position involves managing customer accounts and processing payments, with a focus on accounts receivable and customer service. The role requires attention to detail in invoicing and maintaining accurate customer records, as well as effective communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Receive payments and manage all customer accounts.
• Send out monthly statements and pursue past due accounts.
• Organize customer files and invoicing for pump installation/drilling jobs.
• Post invoices and payments to customer accounts.
• Process daily invoices, including checking and correcting charge counter sales, typing up computer invoices, and mailing them out.
• Pull customer files as needed.
• Manage accounts receivable by posting daily invoices and payments, collecting and receipting payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
• Monitor liens and send out monthly statements.
• Balance month-end reports and close month-end, providing reports to management.
• Act as the primary customer service representative when in the office, directing customers to the correct person.
• Answer phone calls and assist customers with inquiries.
• Research for realtors and customers as needed.
• Assist employees with faxing, typing, and special projects.
• Prepare and send out well drilling packets to prospective customers.
• Open mail and distribute it appropriately.
• Process drilling paperwork, including credit checks, acquiring drilling permits, and preparing customer files.
• Contribute to the company's safety culture by attending weekly safety meetings and reporting incidents.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to type ten key by touch.
• Preferably 2 years of experience in accounting, Quickbooks, and Service Titan.
