About the position

Cavender Auto Group is seeking an Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to join our dynamic team. The AR Clerk will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions related to car deals, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing and reporting. This position involves performing weekly and monthly invoicing, gathering and processing necessary documentation, and preparing timely reports. The AR Clerk will also maintain and monitor databases, respond to inquiries, and interact with both the management team and dealership associates. Given the nature of the role, the ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. The work environment is fast-paced, and the position requires strict adherence to deadlines, making strong time management skills essential. The working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Maintain car deal receivables
• Reconcile car deal receivables on a monthly basis
• Maintain all job-related schedules on a monthly basis
• Reconcile weekly open accounts

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
• Paycor and Automotive experience a plus
• Knowledge of accounting fundamentals
• Ability and willingness to work extended hours during the first of the month
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of mathematical principles and application (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentage calculations)
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet, and in person
• Ability to work in high-stress situations
• Strong work ethic with commitment to high energy performance, quality, and service excellence
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of accounts receivable experience (Preferred)
• 1 year of accounting experience (Preferred)
