About the position

Robert Half has partnered with one of their successful clients on their search for an Accounts Receivable & Collections Manager. In this pivotal role, you will manage a high-net portfolio and lead a team of six professionals. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee credit policies and collections processes, ensuring that all outstanding client invoices are collected accurately and in a timely manner. You will be tasked with creating and developing credit and collection programs that not only facilitate effective cash flow but also enhance the overall efficiency of the accounts receivable department. This includes reviewing customer contracts, reconciling government billings, and implementing best practices within the department. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills and a robust background in credit analysis and risk assessment. You will need to demonstrate excellent analytical skills and outstanding leadership capabilities to guide your team effectively. As the Accounts Receivable & Collections Manager, you will be responsible for setting departmental collection goals, verifying customer payments, reviewing and updating client records, and assessing the risk involved in loan transactions. Additionally, you will handle credit card reconciliations, negotiate payment terms, post cash receipts, and implement collection procedures and policies. Your role will also involve recommending opportunities for improvement within the collections process to enhance overall performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration
  • 5+ years of B2B experience
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Excel
  • Strong understanding of financials
  • CPA a plus
  • ABS software preferred
