About the position

The Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist at Premier Restoration Hawaii is responsible for providing administrative and bookkeeping support, managing communications related to invoices and incoming bills, and streamlining financial recordkeeping. This full-time in-office role requires effective communication and teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and accurate financial management.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and bookkeeping support under the supervision of the Controller.
• Manage all communications relating to invoices and incoming bills.
• Verify vendor statements and maintain accurate files.
• Establish new customer/vendor accounts.
• Resolve discrepancies with customers/vendors and follow up as needed.
• Process deposits/payments on a timely basis.
• Actively pursue all credits and ensure all are properly applied.
• Work closely with various departments to obtain missing information.
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of all accounts.
• Reconcile vendor statements each month to confirm all amounts paid were accurate.
• Maintain updated files for all Subcontractors.
• Contact delinquent customers via telephone and email and maintain consistent follow-up with these accounts in accordance with established performance matrix.
• Manage/monitor debt recovery of the Collections Department.
• Generate reports as needed.
• Draft communication as needed.
• Provide administrative assistance as needed.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Collections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and self-starter attitude.
• Extensive construction industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
