About the position

The Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the collections process and ensuring smooth financial operations within the company. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who excels in problem-solving and customer service, focusing on collecting outstanding balances and maintaining effective communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Collect on open balances of assigned customers before lien due date, following the documented JTR collection approach.
• Research overdue accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with customers via phone, email, and letters.
• Document all calls and collection efforts in the CRM software, providing information on communication, interaction, and payment status updates.
• Monitor the Accounts Receivable Aging issued by the ERP system, currently transitioning from QuickBooks to NetSuite.
• Process payments via ACH, Credit Cards, wire transfers, and third-party checks.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members from other departments (Production, Admin, Billing) for the resolution of customer issues impeding payment.
• Maintain direct communication with the Management team concerning lien decisions.
• Assist in processing liens and satisfaction of liens.
• Assist in processing small claim losses against delinquent accounts.
• Cross-train in various roles to support the Accounting Team.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or collections.
• Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems, with experience in QuickBooks and NetSuite being a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle challenging conversations professionally.
• Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with payment processing methods and basic accounting principles.
