About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented AR/Collections Specialist to join our team in Vernon, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and collections processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, and maintaining positive relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable, including handling chargebacks, past due balances, unapplied cash, overpayments, and disputes.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process and manage RMAs and internal dispute requests in coordination with Customer Service.
  • Communicate with customers to follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collections activities and customer interactions.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
