About the position

The Accounts Receivable Customer Solutions Specialist at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is responsible for enhancing customer service in a call center environment. This role focuses on managing customer inquiries, resolving issues related to invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and sales staff to ensure a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with regional customers and sales staff by answering incoming calls and resolving customer invoice disputes.
  • Process customer payments and sales cylinder adjustments, and update blanket purchase orders.
  • Provide invoice copies and proof of delivery as requested by customers.
  • Utilize business software systems to retrieve customer information and verify inventory and AR balances.
  • Verify customer credit status and complete necessary paperwork to issue credits or debits.
  • Suggest additional billing methods such as e-invoice and EDI to customers.
  • Provide customers with information regarding their outstanding balances.
  • Ensure timely response to phone inquiries and collaborate with the team to meet call center performance metrics.
  • Handle Branch and TM inquiries within 3 days of request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; college or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of customer service or in-store sales experience required.
  • Prior industry experience with knowledge of company products (hardgoods, welding supplies, industrial gas, specialty gas, and medical gas) required.
  • Hands-on experience in Specialty Gas/Hydrocarbon industries required.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications and Lotus Notes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a call center environment for 2 years or more.
