Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Lead to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, and possess a strong understanding of the accounts receivable process. This role is critical to ensuring our financial operations run smoothly, with responsibilities including invoicing, payment processing, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
• Post payments received from customers, including checks, ACH, and credit card payments, into the accounting system (QuickBooks).
• Run and reconcile credit card payments, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Regularly review and reconcile accounts receivable records to ensure all accounts are current and accurate.
• Proactively manage overdue accounts by communicating with customers, negotiating payment plans if necessary, and escalating issues as needed.
• Prepare and distribute accounts receivable reports to management, providing insights on outstanding balances and collection efforts.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the accounts receivable function to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure all accounts receivable activities comply with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related field, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role (Preferred).
• Strong experience with QuickBooks is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex billing and collection issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with other accounting software is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel for at least 3 years (Preferred).
