About the position

The Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee the accounts receivable department, ensuring accurate financial records and timely collection of outstanding payments. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal policies while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to negotiate effectively with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounts receivable team to ensure efficient processing of invoices and collections.
  • Analyze accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and develop strategies for collection.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies regarding revenue recognition and billing practices.
  • Utilize NetSuite for tracking payments and managing financial records.
  • Negotiate payment terms with clients to facilitate timely collections while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Provide technical accounting support related to coding transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes related to billing and collections.
  • Train and mentor staff in best practices for accounts receivable management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of technical accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite is preferred but open to a major ERP such as Oracle or SAP.
  • Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
  • Strong negotiation skills, capable of resolving disputes amicably while ensuring company interests are protected.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
