About the position

The Accounts Receivable Manager at SentryCare, Inc. is responsible for overseeing all accounts receivable activities related to skilled nursing facilities and limited activities for Sentry Rehab. This role is crucial for assessing and implementing accounts receivable processes to support the future growth of the organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment and possess strong communication and organizational skills, along with a solid background in medical billing and coding.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounts receivable activities for skilled nursing facilities and Sentry Rehab.
• Review and process insurance claims including Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance, and Hospice billing.
• Submit corrected claims and assist with appeals as necessary.
• Collaborate with insurance companies and provider representatives to ensure proper payment.
• Confirm prior authorization requests and calculate billing in Point Click Care.
• Process and mail monthly resident statements.
• Reconcile and post all resident and miscellaneous payments in Point Click Care.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on unpaid claims.
• Conduct monthly accounts receivable meetings.
• Prepare daily bank deposits for reconciliation and review.
• Perform monthly accounts receivable closing functions.
• Maintain all A/R supporting documentation such as remittance advices and bank deposits.
• Prepare and process monthly resident bank drafts.
• Prepare documentation for resident refunds and submit to accounts payable.
• Generate and submit various accounts receivable reports as required.

Requirements

• Experience in medical billing and coding.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency in medical office systems, particularly Point Click Care software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
