About the position

Lynden Incorporated is seeking a dynamic Accounts Receivable Manager to lead a team in managing cash applications, bank reconciliations, and customer refunds for over 20 companies. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient accounts receivable processes and supporting the implementation of a new financial management system, Workday Financial. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced shared services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the 20 subsidiaries/sister companies within the Lynden family of companies.
  • Manage and mentor the Accounts Receivable team of 6 to ensure customer service meets service level standards.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely recording of customer cash receipts and account adjustments and processing of customer refunds.
  • Help implement the new financial management system, Workday Financial.
  • Calculate and report accounts receivable metrics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
  • Maximize automation of cash applications in receivables software, High Radius.
  • Oversee Lynden's merchant services portal, providing support to users and troubleshooting technical issues with IT.
  • Reconcile bank files to third-party cash application systems and ERP.
  • Manage credit card charge-backs to minimize expenses.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and manage related projects.

Requirements

  • 5 years accounts receivable experience.
  • 5 years managerial experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Workday ERP or Oracle EBS software experience is a plus.
  • Shared service experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school in a relevant subject.
