About the position
The Accounts Receivable Manager at Fenix Parts Inc. is responsible for overseeing the entire process of collecting payments from customers and posting those payments. This role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and maintaining high-quality invoicing and collection procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing financial teams and be familiar with accounting procedures.
Responsibilities
- Setting objectives for the accounts receivable team that align with the accounting department's goals
- Monitoring distribution of monthly statements
- Ensuring timely collection of payments
- Overseeing daily deposits and application of customer payments to the subledger
- Conducting credit checks and reviewing new credit customers
- Ensuring high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with the law
- Supporting Accounts Receivable Clerks on a daily basis and training new team members
- Ensuring all team members follow accounting principles
Requirements
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or Supervisor
- Accounting knowledge/background is preferred
- Multi-location experience
- Inter-company reconciliation
- Daily cash receipts reconciliation
- Hands-on experience with accounting software
- Familiarity with advanced Excel formulas
