About the position

The Accounts Receivable Manager at Lynden Incorporated will lead a team responsible for managing cash applications, bank reconciliations, and customer refunds for over 20 subsidiary companies. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient accounts receivable processes and supporting the implementation of a new financial management system. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of the company's financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the 20 subsidiaries/sister companies within the Lynden family of companies.
  • Manage and mentor the Accounts Receivable team of 6 to ensure customer service meets service level standards.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely recording of customer cash receipts and account adjustments and processing of customer refunds.
  • Help implement the new financial management system, Workday Financial.
  • Calculate and report accounts receivable metrics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
  • Maximize automation of cash applications in receivables software, High Radius.
  • Oversee Lynden's merchant services portal, providing support to users and troubleshooting technical issues with IT.
  • Reconcile bank files to third-party cash application systems and ERP.
  • Manage credit card charge-backs to minimize expenses.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and manage related projects.
  • Support the implementation of a new financial system, acting as a liaison between the implementation team and Accounts Receivable team.

Requirements

  • 5 years accounts receivable experience.
  • 5 years managerial experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Workday ERP or Oracle EBS software experience is a plus.
  • Shared service experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school in a relevant subject.
