About the position

As the Accounts Receivable Manager at Kindthread, you will lead a dedicated team in optimizing our collections processes and enhancing customer relationships. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive financial efficiency during our transition to new banking systems and payment solutions, making a significant impact in a dynamic, mission-driven company.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the accounts receivable team, providing guidance for efficient operations.
  • Support, develop, and train Accounts Receivable and Collections staff.
  • Conduct credit checks, establish and manage customer credit limits.
  • Monitor and report deviations from credit standards.
  • Create detailed workflow documentation for Accounts Receivable processes.
  • Define, implement, and maintain partnerships with collection agencies.
  • Recommend improvements for invoicing and collection procedures.
  • Provide weekly reports on invoicing totals, aging, cash receipts, and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with sales teams on challenging customer collections.
  • Work with the tech team for seamless integration and updates in accounting systems (AX).
  • Drive initiatives to increase ACH payment adoption, enhancing cash flow and reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies in the accounts receivable function.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in accounts receivable or financial management within the apparel or healthcare industry.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, adaptable mindset to navigate changing processes.
  • Analytical and data-driven, with a keen eye for detail in managing financial transactions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in the apparel or healthcare industry.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly in transition scenarios.
