About the position

Our client, a large vertically integrated Cannabis company, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounts receivable department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of invoices, timely collections, and adherence to company policies and procedures. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of the organization by ensuring that all receivables are collected in a timely manner and that the accounts receivable process runs smoothly. The Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee the entire accounts receivable process from invoice generation to collection. This includes monitoring customer accounts to ensure timely payments and following up on overdue invoices. The manager will also be tasked with developing and implementing strategies to improve collections and reduce outstanding receivables. Regular reviews and reconciliations of accounts receivable transactions will be necessary to resolve any discrepancies that may arise. In addition to these responsibilities, the Accounts Receivable Manager will coordinate with other departments, such as sales and procurement, to resolve billing issues and disputes. They will prepare regular reports and analyses on accounts receivable aging, cash flow, and collection efforts for management review. Ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements is also a key aspect of this role. The manager will be expected to identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline the accounts receivable process, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance team.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
