About the position

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager at Bartz Altadonna Community Health Center (BACHC) is responsible for managing the accurate recording of all revenues in the accounting system, ensuring timely invoicing and compliance with financial policies. This role is critical for tracking and reporting the organization's revenue while collaborating with internal departments and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately record all incoming revenue into the accounting system, ensuring consistency and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly revenue transactions with bank deposits and program records.
  • Maintain detailed records of revenue from various programs and ensure timely recording of transactions.
  • Manage the daily deposit of checks and other forms of payments, ensuring accuracy in the amounts deposited and recorded.
  • Prepare and send invoices for various programs and contracts, ensuring that all charges are accurate and aligned with program requirements.
  • Track outstanding invoices and follow up on payments to ensure timely collections.
  • Prepare regular reports on revenue activity for the CFO, highlighting trends and discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for financial audits and ensuring all revenue-related transactions are properly documented.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and organizational policies related to revenue recording and cash management.
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard the accurate recording of revenue and the security of deposits.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient reconciliation processes.
  • Liaise with external partners, grant funders, and program managers to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and revenue recording.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, revenue management, or general accounting, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of healthcare programs, grants, and financial regulations preferred.

Nice-to-haves
