We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll operations, overseeing accounts receivable, and handling collections to ensure the smooth financial functioning of our organization. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll processes, accounts receivable management, and effective collection strategies. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our company by ensuring timely payroll processing and effective management of receivables and collections.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage bi-weekly or weekly payroll for all employees.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, including salaries, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, tracking, and reconciliation.
  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Prepare and maintain aging reports and conduct regular account reviews.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Communicate with clients regarding overdue accounts and negotiate payment terms.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of collection activities and outcomes.
  • Provide regular updates on collections progress and account status to management.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in accounts receivable (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in payroll management (preferred).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SOX compliance.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal payroll regulations.
