Accounts Receivable/Payable Associate

About the position

The Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Associate at JSI Cabinetry is responsible for maintaining customer relationships and managing financial transactions related to accounts receivable and payable. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial records and timely payments, contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer/vendor telephone calls and email inquiries.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Verify and reconcile invoices and statements.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Work with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Assist Accounting department as needed with daily functions.

Requirements

• 2 Years of previous accounting experience
• 2 years of prior experience with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including by phone and email
• A willingness to learn all aspects of the accounting function within the organization
• The ability to work well in a team environment and to professionally interact with all members of the organization.
