About the position

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Processor to join our team in Flagstaff, Arizona. This role involves processing payments, reconciling statements, and handling month-end duties, as well as participating in yearly audits for our medical operating company. The position may offer a hybrid remote work arrangement based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile lockbox payments to appropriate customer accounts
• Process, verify and post daily bank deposits
• Research and resolve any payment discrepancies
• Support necessary activities within the Accounts Receivable team
• Interact with internal and external customers in a positive and professional manner
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
• Prepare various reconciliations to general ledger
• Attend to each month end duties and complete on or prior to set deadlines
• Participate in yearly financial audits

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of work experience performing accounting related tasks
• Demonstrated self-motivation, hands-on approach, attention to detail, dependability, and good judgment
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening)
• Proficiency using computer tools such as Microsoft Suite
• Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-through skills
• Ability to work successfully in a multidisciplinary team environment, gaining consensus when appropriate
• Ability to work independently, be proactive and follow through on pending tasks and deadlines
• Ability to dependably work and cover each month end
• Ability to accommodate changing priorities with a positive attitude

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Experience using an ERP system
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
