About the position

The Accounts Receivable Property Associate position at Crabtree Valley Mall involves providing on-site Accounts Receivable and Leasing support for the property located in Raleigh, NC. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the financial aspects of the retail real estate company. The primary responsibilities include overseeing the Accounts Receivable process, which entails monitoring cash receipts in the bank, billing tenant recurring charges, and performing tenant ledger reconciliations. The associate will also be responsible for lease administration, requiring a solid understanding of retail lease provisions. In this role, the associate will prepare all tenant invoicing, including monthly statements, percentage rent calculations, amendment adjustments, and annual billings. They will apply cash receipts to tenant accounts and make and record check deposits. Following up with tenants regarding outstanding balances is also a key responsibility. The associate will reconcile monthly cash logs to MRI monthly cash receipts and review leases to prepare lease profiles for signed leases, ensuring proper setup in the MRI accounting system for accurate billing. Additionally, the associate will respond to tenant inquiries in a timely manner and assist the Leasing Department as needed, preparing tenant history reports promptly. They will also prepare a monthly aged receivables report and maintain sales information by monitoring the collection of sales and reviewing reports. The role may involve assisting the Controller in special projects and performing any other duties required to successfully operate the Regional Shopping Center.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma; some college preferred.
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in accounting, especially in Accounts Receivable and Lease Administration.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and establish priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
