About the position

Providence is calling for an Accounts Receivable Representative to join our team across various locations including Alaska, Washington, California, Montana, Oregon, Texas, and New Mexico. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate billing and collections of payments from insurance carriers, agencies, and other entities for the equipment and services provided by Providence Senior and Community Services and Home and Community Services. The services covered under this role may include Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, Oral Dose, Skilled Nursing Facility, Home Health, Hospice, and Home Medical Equipment. As an Accounts Receivable Representative, you will be part of the Revenue Cycle Business Services team, which is dedicated to patient-focused, whole-person care. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of the healthcare reimbursement landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate billing and collections of payments from insurance carriers and agencies.
  • Manage billing processes for various service lines including Home Infusion, Specialty Pharmacy, Skilled Nursing Facility, Home Health, Hospice, and Home Medical Equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance contracts and Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of billing and collections activities.

Requirements

  • 2 years recent experience in a healthcare environment with an emphasis on reimbursement and collections.
  • Experience with insurance contracts and/or Medicare/Medicaid Regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • College level courses in medical front office/medical billing.
  • Epic experience.
