About the position

The Accounts Receivable Representative at Parr Lumber Company is responsible for managing assigned accounts, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role involves close collaboration with team members to enhance revenue generation and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders. The position requires a strong focus on customer interactions and problem-solving to address collection challenges efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain assigned accounts.
• Verify and post receipts, resolving discrepancies.
• Contact customers regarding overdue invoices and obtain payment commitments.
• Conduct credit investigations using various tools.
• Establish credit limits and review orders from blocks.
• Post customer payments by recording cash, check, and credit card transactions.
• Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to deadlines.
• Verify account discrepancies by investigating information from sales and customers.
• Maintain account receivable customer files and records.
• Abide by all legal regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Solve problems quickly to create resolutions that generate revenue.
• Perform other tasks necessary to support the department.

Requirements

• 2 years of previous experience in Credit and Accounts Receivable.
• Knowledge of Credit, Collections, and Accounts Receivable principles.
• Knowledge of lien laws and bond rights in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho preferred.
• Understanding of the building industry preferred.
• Ability to type 40+ WPM.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English required.
