About the position

Cintas is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative responsible for managing all accounts receivable functions. This role involves tracking assigned accounts, recovering outstanding payments, and maintaining customer relationships. The representative will engage in heavy phone activity with customers, negotiate payment plans, and resolve discrepancies while ensuring compliance with legal requirements when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Track assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts
• Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments
• Engage in heavy phone activity with customers
• Locate and contact debtors regarding payment status
• Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
• Handle questions or complaints from customers
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Establish good relationships with customers
• Update account status and database regularly
• Alert supervisors of customers unwilling or unable to pay outstanding amounts
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2+ years' collections experience
• Ability to use confidential information professionally
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills
• Experience with SAP and AS400
