About the position

The Accounts Receivable Resource at Ensign Services is responsible for training and assisting business office managers and staff in efficient billing practices, monitoring timely collections of accounts receivable, and ensuring accurate revenue transaction recording in healthcare facilities. This role supports multiple operations in Northern California and aims to enhance workflow and productivity in accounts receivable functions.

Responsibilities

  • Train and assist business office managers and staff on billing practices according to company and industry standards.
  • Monitor timely collections of accounts receivable across multiple operations.
  • Ensure accurate recording of revenue transactions in healthcare facilities.
  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct accounts receivable functions under the supervision of the Director of Accounts Receivable.
  • Analyze AR functions and processes to ensure maximum workflow and productivity, communicating deficiencies and best practices to management.
  • Conduct subject matter training with business office staff in multiple locations.
  • Update and train on financial policies and procedures related to company policy and government regulations.
  • Assist and provide corrective action to accounts receivable workflow processes at assigned locations.
  • Perform month-end close processes when staff vacancies require it.
  • Coordinate and assist with business office accounts receivable functions when positions are vacant.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Business Office Manager experience in skilled nursing / long-term care setting.
  • Accounts Receivable experience in a skilled nursing / long-term care setting.
  • 2+ years' experience in a multi-facility oversight role preferred.
  • PointClickCare experience preferred.
  • Texas Medicaid Billing and Applications preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Presentation skills required.
