About the position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist I at RxBenefits, Inc. is responsible for providing essential support to the accounts receivable team. This role involves financial, administrative, and clerical tasks to ensure timely payments for goods and accurate transaction recording. The specialist will handle customer inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and assist in maintaining accounting records, contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounts receivable process.

Responsibilities

  • Research and resolve routine accounts receivable questions and discrepancies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through timely and accurate responses to AR ticket requests.
  • Maintain detailed supporting schedules for accounting records.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities within the accounting department.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and update SOPs annually as needed.
  • Organize and submit client refund requests when necessary.
  • Prepare documentation and assist with the annual external financial statement audit.
  • Prepare waived and write-off requests, as needed.
  • Research past due accounts and contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and/or credits.
  • Perform cash receipts entry and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with clients to reconcile their records with ours, providing supporting documentation about outstanding balances as requested.
  • Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as required by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to adjust to competing or shifting priorities as needed.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in areas of collaboration and facilitation.
  • Highly collaborative team player who takes initiative.
