About the position

CVS Health, a Fortune Five company, is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist for our Specialty Pharmacy located in Monroeville, PA. This full-time position is essential in ensuring timely and accurate account payments for outstanding balances while providing exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST, and it is a hybrid role that allows for a combination of in-office and remote work. New hires will undergo a comprehensive three-week training program to ensure they are well-prepared for their responsibilities. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting and scheduling payments, reviewing resident statements for accuracy, and working in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment to resolve patient account balances. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our operations and ensuring that our patients receive the best possible service. Responsibilities

  • Collecting payments from patients and healthcare providers.
  • Scheduling payments and managing payment plans.
  • Reviewing resident's statement of account for accuracy of charges and proper account handling.
  • Working in a customer service-oriented environment to resolve patient account balances.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient account management.

Requirements

  • 1+ year(s) experience in medical or healthcare billing related work (e.g., collections, balance overview, payments).
  • Experience communicating with customers/members on the phone.
  • Must live within a 1 hour commute from the Monroeville, PA office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
  • 1+ year(s) experience in self-pay collections.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
