About the position

CVS Health, a Fortune Five company, is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist for our Specialty Pharmacy located in Monroeville, PA. This full-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring timely and accurate account payments for outstanding balances. The role is pivotal in maintaining the financial health of our operations and requires a collaborative spirit to work effectively within a team environment. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting payments, scheduling payments, and reviewing resident statements of account for accuracy. You will also engage with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance carriers to resolve account balances, ensuring a seamless experience for all parties involved. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST, and it offers a hybrid work model. New hires will undergo a comprehensive three-week training program to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their role. Responsibilities

  • Collecting payments from patients and insurance carriers.
  • Scheduling payments and managing payment plans.
  • Reviewing resident's statement of account for accuracy of charges and proper account handling.
  • Working in a customer service-oriented, fast-paced, and team-focused environment to help resolve patient account balances.

Requirements

  • 1+ year(s) experience of medical or healthcare billing related work (examples: collections, balance overview, payments, payment plans).
  • Experience communicating with customers/members on the phone.
  • Must live within a 1 hour commute from the Monroeville, PA office.

Nice-to-haves

  • Explanation of Benefits (EOB) experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in self pay collections.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage simultaneous projects, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while displaying strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
