About the position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist at JCR Construction Company is responsible for managing and processing all accounts receivable functions within the organization. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely communication with customers regarding their accounts. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and process all invoices received from vendors
• Prepare and process credit card payments
• Prepare and process checks for purchase orders
• Prepare invoices for submission to customers
• Prepare and process credit applications
• Prepare and process payroll invoices
• Prepare and process monthly statements
• Prepare sales tax returns
• Communicate with customers and employees regarding the status of their accounts receivable accounts
• Maintain accurate records and filing systems
• Perform other accounting tasks as needed

Requirements

• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
• Knowledge of general office machines and telephone system
• 1 year of accounting experience (preferred)
• 1 year of accounts receivable experience (preferred)
• 1 year of Microsoft Excel experience (required)
