About the position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our company's financial operations. This position will focus on general accounting activities within Accounts Receivable, including reconciliations, month-end closings, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. The specialist will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks related to Accounts Receivable, which includes performing reconciliations, handling collections, and resolving disputes. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC regulations, is a critical aspect of this position. The specialist will also be expected to identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes, enhancing both efficiency and accuracy. Furthermore, the role may involve contributing to special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed, making it essential for the candidate to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of accounting tasks related to Accounts Receivable, such as reconciliations, collections, and dispute resolution.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • CPA certification or active pursuit of the CPA exam is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
