About the position

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. This position is crucial for managing client accounts and ensuring timely collection of past due invoices. The specialist will be responsible for contacting clients daily via telephone or email to discuss outstanding invoices, generating and distributing Accounts Receivable reports to Account Executives, Management, and Clients, and recognizing and analyzing collection issues. The role also involves researching payments and applications, assisting with audit requests, and reconciling client accounts. Additionally, the specialist will handle inter-company inquiries and research, serving as the primary back-up for the Cash Application Associate. Effective and professional communication with all levels of employees and clients is essential, along with maintaining regular and reliable attendance. This position requires the ability to work onsite in an office environment, with limited remote work alternatives, consistent with applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Contact clients regarding past due invoices daily via telephone or email.
• Generate and distribute Accounts Receivable reports to Account Executives, Management, and Clients.
• Recognize and analyze collection issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong Excel experience.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience in accounting.
• Familiarity with Cash Applications and Accounts Payable.
• Ability to multitask.
