About the position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist at Gateway Home Services is responsible for managing incoming payments, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, posting payments, and generating reports
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances and overdue accounts
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Work closely with the property management team to ensure timely collections
• Prepare and send regular statements and account summaries to clients
• Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding billing inquiries

Requirements

• Previous experience in an accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or related role (property management experience a plus)
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (experience with Yardi or AppFolio preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred)
