About the position

Intelli-Tec Security Services, a leader in high-quality custom security solutions, is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Full-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position is based at our Syosset, NY headquarters and requires 100% on-site presence. The role involves providing valuable support to the Accounting Department through various tasks including data entry, processing, and recording financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills, capable of handling multiple responsibilities efficiently. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for gathering and sorting invoices and checks, preparing and entering financial transactions into internal databases, and issuing customer statements, invoices, or notices as needed. You will also assist with reports and records, maintain both digital and physical financial records, and handle billing for installation and service in ABM. Additionally, you will post job cost labor to installation projects and collaborate with management to identify issues contributing to account delinquency, proposing effective solutions. This role may also involve assisting with various accounting tasks to support other members of the Accounting Department. The position offers a pay range of $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on education and experience, and includes one week of paid training outside of the NYC area. This is a full-time role that provides an opportunity to grow within a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and sort invoices and checks
  • Prepare and enter financial transactions in internal databases
  • Issue customer statements, invoices, or notices as needed
  • Assist with reports and records
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records
  • Bill out invoices for installation and service in ABM
  • Post job cost labor to installation projects
  • Collaborate with management to identify issues attributing to account delinquency and propose solutions
  • Assist with Accounting tasks as needed, supporting the other members of the Accounting Department

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice-to-haves

  • 1+ years' experience in a professional support role or equivalent military experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
