Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is collaborating with a manufacturing leader to recruit an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This role is pivotal in managing the company's accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring that days' sales outstanding are maintained at or below targeted levels while maximizing collectability. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a significant role in the Finance and Accounting Department by recommending and leading the implementation of business processes and procedures that support revenue growth, minimize risk, reduce bad debt expenses, and enhance earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA). The position involves developing and implementing policies and procedures related to the company's credit and collections efforts. The specialist will conduct credit reviews on new customers to assess creditworthiness and establish appropriate credit terms. Monitoring customer accounts and their order credit hold status is also a key responsibility. The role requires collaboration with collection agencies and outside counsel to collect outstanding accounts, including making decisions on whether to continue informal collection efforts or pursue legal action. Providing excellent customer support is essential, enabling customers to make payments and resolving outstanding balances through independent judgment, including the approval of payment plans. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will also cross-train in various areas of Accounting & Finance, assisting the department as needed. Daily tasks include processing credit card payments, applying cash receipts to accounts receivable balances, and ensuring overdue amounts are collected through customer calls. The role requires accurate and timely completion of sales reporting, maintaining contact information for customers, reconciling general ledger and bank accounts, performing financial analysis, and completing necessary work for various audits. Additionally, the specialist will take an active role in month-end closing and reporting.
