About the position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is crucial for the financial health of the organization, as it involves reconciling customer accounts, addressing billing inquiries, and collaborating with other departments to streamline billing processes. The position is contract-to-hire, offering a competitive hourly rate with the potential for permanent employment based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and payment collections.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Prepare and distribute regular accounts receivable reports.
• Assist with month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
• Communicate with customers to address billing inquiries and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes.
• Support the accounting team with additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
